At the first Virat Kohli was looking good but Kagiso Rabada managed to get his bat's outside edge and dismissed Virat at 38 of 64.

The debutant left-hand fast bowler Nandre Burger also impressed protease with his bowling performance by clinching three wickets containing of Yashaswi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill and ending the first innings by tooking the centurion batsman KL Rahul.
