Know About Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill is an Indian international cricketer who plays for Punjab in domestic cricket as a right-handed opening batsman. Notably, Gill served as the vice-captain of the Indian Under-19 cricket team in the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and received the prestigious Player of the Tournament award.

He made his Rundown A presentation against Vidharbha in 2017 and top of the line debut for Punjab against Bengal in the 2017-18 Ranji Prize, in late 2017, with 50 years in the game, and 129 runs in the LAST match against Administrations. According to the ICC website, "Gill won the honours after a superb run in white-ball cricket in January, and was nominated with New Zealanders Devon Conway and Mohammed Siraj. In the opener of a three-game series against New Zealand last month in Hyderabad, the right-handed batter hit a double century. In the gripping thriller, which India won by 12 runs, he scored 209 off 149 balls.

Along with Pakistan's captain Babar Azam, who previously held the record against the West Indies in 2016 against a three-game ODI series, he went on to score 40 not out and 112 in the other two games and total 360 runs in the series. The 23-year-old also recorded his maiden T20 century in the previous month when he hit an unbeaten 126 to help India clinch the T20 International series against Kiwis with a crushing 168-run victory in the decider.
